Integrated system for marble waste valorization

Italy | Integrated system for marble waste valorization

Enhancing quarry waste means transforming residual material into finished products and high-value industrial by-products.

In this project, Poggi supplied the main products and components, contributing to the development of an automated and integrated system.

The process includes:

  • Loading hopper

  • Bucket elevator

  • Polishing drum

  • Complete dust extraction and recovery system

  • Three-stage screening system

  • Storage silos for processed material and dust

One of the distinctive elements of the project is the valorization of marble dust, recovered and destined for sectors such as paper, cosmetics, toothpaste and industrial applications.

From a design perspective, one of the main challenges was the implementation of truck loading at ground level, with part of the structure developed at -6 meters, a solution that required careful structural, mechanical and logistical configuration. This intervention highlighted Poggi’s design skills and know-how in managing complex configurations, with an engineering approach oriented towards integration between product, plant layout and operational constraints.

Also in this case, Poggi acted as an industrial partner, supplying products and mechanical components and supporting integration with existing systems, contributing to operational continuity and process control.
